‼️ On the initiative of the NGO “501 Battalion,” a meeting was held at the Coordination Headquarters with the association of families of the Defenders of the 501st Separate Marine Battalion, which is part of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade.
A representative of the Coordination Headquarters spoke with the relatives of the captured marines.
➡️ During the meeting, a wide range of issues were discussed related to the conditions of the servicemen’s captivity, correspondence with them, the progress of the negotiation process, and more. They also talked about ways to obtain information regarding the captured Defenders, including their health status, locations, and conditions of detention. It is important to note that Russia does not provide official information about prisoners of war.
☝🏻 Among other things, attention was drawn to the mechanisms for the release of fighters who have been held for long periods, as well as wounded and seriously ill Defenders. Families were interested in what additional actions could be taken by Ukrainian society, the state, and international partners to speed up the return of the captured Ukrainian citizens.
‼️З ініціативи ГО “501 батальйон” у Координаційному штабі відбулася зустріч з об’єднанням родин Захисників 501-го окремого батальйону морської піхоти, що входить до складу 36 ОБрМП.
З родичами полонених морських піхотинців спілкувався представник Коордштабу.
➡️ Під час зустрічі було обговорено широкий спектр питань, пов’язаних з умовами перебування військовослужбовців у полоні, листування з ними, перебігом переговорного процесу тощо. Йшлося також про шляхи отримання інформації стосовно полонених Оборонців, зокрема про стан їхнього здоров’я, місця та умови утримання. Варто зауважити, що росія не надає офіційних відомостей про військовополонених.
☝🏻 Серед іншого, звернули увагу на механізми визволення бійців з тривалими термінами перебування, а також поранених та важкохворих Захисників. Родини цікавилися, які додаткові дії можуть бути вжиті з боку українського суспільства, держави та міжнародних партнерів для швидшого повернення поневолених українських громадян.
