‼️ On the initiative of the NGO “501st Battalion,” an online meeting was held at the Coordination Headquarters with the families of the soldiers of the 501st Separate Marine Battalion, which is part of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi.
➡️ Representatives of the Coordination Headquarters and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) spoke with the families of captured and missing marines.
☝️ Some of the questions raised during the meeting concerned the work of the ICRC, information about the health and location of the servicemen, and the possibility of communication between them and their relatives.
💬 “We are constantly requesting access to all places of detention,” said the ICRC representative. “But we can only visit those locations where permission has been granted by the party holding the prisoners of war.”
➡️ The idea of creating mixed medical commissions, the working mechanism of which is outlined in the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War, was also discussed separately.
‼️ З ініціативи ГО «501 батальйон» у Координаційному штабі відбулася онлайн-зустріч з родинами бійців 501-го окремого батальйону морської піхоти, що входить до складу 36-ої окремої бригади морської піхоти імені контрадмірала Михайла Білинського.
➡️ З родинами полонених і зниклих безвісти морських піхотинців спілкувалися представники Координаційного штабу та Міжнародного комітету Червоного Хреста.
☝️ Частина запитань, порушених під час зустрічі, стосувалася роботи МКЧХ, інформації про стан здоров’я та місцезнаходження військовослужбовця, а також можливість комунікації з ним родичів.
💬 “Ми весь час просимо доступ до всіх місць утримань, – зазначила представниця МКЧХ. – Але відвідати можемо лише ті місця, дозвіл на відвідування яких надає сторона, яка утримує військовополонених.”
